In ancient Egypt and Greek mythology, man and animal where united in divine representation.

In our contemporary society the athlete and the animal are associated: through suffering and the effort of competition, by the symbolism of movement, by the scenic representation, by the negative image that becomes positive.

Marathon runners, wrestlers, swimmers… are thus associated with horses, snakes, birds…

These photographic montages are metaphysical visions, and not an exploitation of the sensational. They have as much to say about their elaboration process without falling into abstract experimentation.

The series is composed of 18 Fresson coal black and white prints, limited to 8 copies and 1 artist’s print. 30 x 40cm.
