This film shoot is closely linked to the photo shoots, either on the same day or the following day. I use the same sets and, through this approach, I operate as close as
possible to the profound origins of my work:
The photograph is a drawing that is linked to the filmic breakdown, with broad creative freedom. The film is the realization of this first approach and borrows its terms.
… like a movie that would not be projected at the right speed, where the pictures appear jerky, allowing glimpses of photograms, meaning its essential discontinuity. At that moment - at the moment when the illusion of continuity breaks down - we would understand which “monads” (24 per second) actually constitute a film.
